If you have enabled Flume to launch at login, or enabled Push Notifications, a background helper application called "Flume Helper" will run in the background to ensure these two features can function correctly.
This background service is designed to use very few or no resources when idle, is restricted to performing a few functions in a secure and safe manner, and does not hinder or reduce any capabilities of your system. If you terminate this background process manually, you will no longer receive Push Notifications until it is relaunched. You can relaunch Flume Helper by quitting and relaunching Flume, or logging out and back into your macOS User Account.
